What We Stand For

The Character & Ethics Project was founded to help and encourage people from all walks of life to deal with one another with honesty and with a cooperative spirit. We sponsor workshops on leadership for our youth, and provide recognition to the adults in our community who, through their example, make our city a better place to live.

Guiding Principles

The Character and Ethics Project embraces character-building and ethical behavior as a way of life. It grows from the conviction that each of us can strive to be a better person. Individual self-improvement produces a better community where everybody benefits.

We envision a community that lives by the following ideals:

The 12 principles are:

  • Citizenship
  • Compassion
  • Cooperation
  • Courtesy
  • Fairness
  • Honesty
  • Integrity
  • Loyalty
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Self-discipline
  • Trustworthiness

To conduct myself with fairness, honesty, and integrity in all situations. To treat everyone with courtesy, respect and compassion. To convey trustworthiness and responsibility in all my actions. To express at all times a spirit of cooperation and loyalty. To practice self-discipline and good citizenship.
